Sunday, November 1 · GreenState Family Fieldhouse
Sixty players came out to celebrate our friend Pablo Mays, twelve of them in the DUPR matchups. Many of Pablo’s family were there, and several of them played.

Why we played
Pablo embodied all that is good about pickleball.
It was a full house at GreenState, with drills, an open round robin and DUPR matchups. A huge thank you to all of you, for celebrating Pablo and playing your hearts out.

A note from Pablo’s family
Just wanted to express my deepest gratitude to everyone involved in planning and hosting the wonderful event for Pablo.
Pablo loves this Pickleball community so much, and seeing everyone come together for him was incredibly special. Thank you all for your time, hard work and amazing energy on and off the court. We are so grateful to be part of such a generous and welcoming group. (Please extend to anyone I missed that helped out.)

A note from the City
Sherri Proud, Coralville’s Director of Parks and Recreation, wrote to Mary Ellen and the Board about the nets the club bought for the renovated courts.
Sherri Proud, CPRP · Director of Parks and Recreation, City of Coralville
A very heartfelt thank you for your generous donation for the pickleball nets for the renovated tennis and pickleball courts in Coralville. Having 4 courts available and working towards nets on all 8 courts will be a great asset for the community.
Four of the eight courts are playable now, and the club is working towards nets on all eight. This is where your dues and donations go.
